Transport Manager Refresher Course

Operator Licence Awareness Course (OLAT)

Transport Manager CPC (CILT Accredited)

Anyone who wishes to run heavy goods vehicles for hire or reward have to apply to the Traffic Commissioner's Office for a National or International Operator's Licence. Amongst a list of other requirements the licence holder must hold, or has access to the services of someone who holds a Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers in Road Haulage.

We are proud to offer CILT accredited courses for anyone who wishes to sit this Level 3 exam to gain their qualification to develop their career within the road haulage industry.

Who is the qualification for?
  • Any one involved in the road transport industry who would like to increase their career operations and progress to a managemnt position. 
  • Those who have previous experience of working within the industry and would like to offer their services as an External Transport Manager.
  • Directors of organsiations who operate a fleet of vehicles and wish to gain a full understanding of what is required to meet the requirements of the Traffic Commissioner to maintain compliance in lines with the Operator Licence Undertakings.
  • The course includes a range of subjects that relate to the business of road transport.

Course Details


This course will run an as a remote evening class two nights per week over 8 weeks starting Tuesday 11th February 2025 from 17:30 until 20:30 on Tuesdays & Thursdays. 


The exam date will be held remotely on Tuesday 8th April 2025, with a full days revision on Monday 7th April 2025.

NB More courses are to follow throughout 2025 with classroom training becoming available in spring at our training centre in Hull.

Transport Manager Refresher Course (CILT Accredited)

Save travel time and costs by attending our CILT accredited Online Transport Manager refresher courses online via Zoom over a 2 days (7 hours of Driver CPC hours included).

All course are presented by Transport Managers who have experience of the role themselves. 

At the end of the course you be sent a certificate confirming attendance (fulfilling the requirements of the TC if you have been asked to attend a refresher course.

Course Details

The TM Refresher course is run over two consecutive days in the week or two consecutive Saturday or mix it up and do one day in the week and one on a Saturday the choice is yours.

The Operator Licence Awareness Training Course or OLAT is a one-day CILT accredited course aimed at company directors and senior staff members of restricted licence holders directly associated with the transport operation. 

Save travel time and costs by attending our CILT accredited Online Transport Manager refresher courses online via Zoom over a 1 day (7 hours of Driver CPC hours included).

All course are presented by Transport Managers who have experience of the role themselves. 

At the end of the course you be sent a certificate confirming attendance (fulfilling the requirements of the TC if you have been asked to attend a refresher course.
